About Me
i am 26 years old, female who was diagnosed in 2003 with addisons disease. To me this disease is very confusing! I can feel perfect one minute and literly passing out the next min. i have a wonderful son whom is my mirical baby!! unlike me he is very healthy! I have never really talked to anyone who has this same disease and now i am really getting down cuz it is getting out of control and i can not control the situation.

Sorry I haven't been online in a very long time! Nothing new is going on here except super sick and getting treated like crap by the er and doctors because of no insurance. I can't work because I am so sick and on unemployment because of it but the state says I make to much money to get Medicaid. Indiana state aid is really messed up. I don't even bring home 6 dollars an hour not even min. wage but I make to much money"? Anyways I hope you are well. Heidi

Close Addison's Disease
In april of 2003 i was working a career for the county and loved my career!! i was driving a truck to go to my complaints and all of a sudden my body felt very weak i was hot and cold all at once shaking uncontrolable cring i figured my blood sugar was low so i went to the store and bought some p-nut butter crackers and orange juice. An hour after that i was at the hospital and they took my sugar level and it was at 35.. they said i was luck to still be alive due to the fact that i should have been in a coma! after a week or so of tests they figured out that my adreanal glads were not working at all and they don't know why.

- Cymbalta Not Working
- this med made me a lil crazier than usual.
- DHEA Somewhat Helpful
- i am on so many meds that i am unable to determine what works anymore and what doesnt.
- Klonopin Not Working
- they tried this before she put me on xanax but this had a totally diff effect than the xanax!
- Pain Management Clinic Working / Worked
- without my pain management dr i wouldnt be able to get out of bed lots of mornings!
- Zoloft Not Working
- this med worked for about a year or so and then when i was comiing off of it slowly i had very bad suicidal thoughts and attempts! did not like that at all!!!
- Prozac Working / Worked
- this med i like due to the fact that i have very lil side effects and i can upper and lower my dose according to my bipolor mood for the dayweek.
Open Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) Depressioni was diagosed with addisons disease about five years ago and with that disease along came other problems depression anixiety etc.. so i am tring to deal with as much as i can in the best way poss its hard doing it by your self so i need help by people who actually know what im going thru!

- this med gave me more problems than good.
- Paxil Not Working
- this didnt agree with my chemistry
- Prozac Working / Worked
- this i do like and i can adjust it accordingly!
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- i talk to a counsler evry couple months it helps a little but i have to find a way to just get over the fact that i have all these problems and just deal with them!
- Seroquel Not Working
- at the lowest dose this made me a zombie
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
- the only person i can talk to is myboyfriend who has supported me no matter what i am going thru and how im feeling hes the only one that truly understands and truly helps me without judgement!!
- Wellbutrin Somewhat Helpful
- i was on so much meds that i weaned myself off this after taking it for a couple of years. i just wasnt sure if it was working or not but i havent noticed a diff when i was on or off of this.
- Writing Working / Worked
- this helps me speak my mind when i really cant talk to anyone.
- Zoloft Not Working
- i was on the highest dose poss and after a year or so this wasnt working and getting off this was scary due to the fact that i had very real suicide thoughts and attempts.
Open Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)
I am a 26yr old female with a four year old son. I have addison's disease amoung many other things for someone who my age.

- As long as i eat like im supposed to I seem to do okay? But there are day even if i eat right there are days that my blood sugar goes so low that because of my addisons it is uncontrollable.

- Calcium Working / Worked
- calcium citrate causes less bone spurs and i will find out on the 16th if my osteopersis has gotten worse. With all the rx's i take as much natral vitamins as i can
Open Chronic Pain
i am a 26yr old with addison's disease, degenerative disc, arthritus, osteoperosis, i suffer from pain all the time! i am not able to pick up or hold my 4yr old son :( i try everything to feel better but nothing seems to work. i do get very frustrated because i am so young and in so much pain all the time! I can not help but wonder what will i feel like in years to come?

- this last for about a day or so.
- Flexeril Not Working
- the only thing this did for me was knock me out!!! never took again!!
- Heat Working / Worked
- this only works when the heat is applied?
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- this seem to work so far however like other meds the doseage is increased every couple of months or so i try so hard not to go up but sometimes its just not enough.
- Methadone Not Working
- this medicine only helped for a short while! i did NOT like the way these made me feel!!!
- Morphine Somewhat Helpful
- this med worked for a short while and my body was addited to it and i did not like the way that i felt so i got myself off of this quick and actually went into the hospital from withdrals this was a awful experence and i would never go on this again!
- Naproxen Not Working
- this doesnt even come close to easing the pain not even a little bit!!
- Nerve Blocks Not Working
- because of my addison's my body actually sucks this up and throws my body into attacks!! not good for me!!
- Neurontin Not Working
- This did not have an effect on me at all!
- Physical Therapy Working / Worked
- this did work when i did therepy in the water so i go in the water as much as i can. i also go walking as much as i can!
- TENS Working / Worked
- this works as long as its on my back i wish i could walk around with this all the time!!
- Baclofen Working / Worked
- this is a muscle relaxer i still have major muscle spasams but i guess its just something to deal with!
Open Degenerative Disc Disease
iam 26yr old trying to get on ssdi but because of my age and education its hard for me to get on it! i also have MANY other problems for ssdi but like i said im young and ive been fighting this for two years(ssdi) frome this disease i have shrunk almost two inches and its not only in one disc i have it from my neck to my lowest disc(L5) it just keeps getting worse.
Open Pregnancy
i am a mom of a four year old boy and exspecting another one in about september im not sure of the sex of the baby yet since i just found out that im preganant.(3-2-09) i am a little worried about this pregnancy due to the fact that i am actually putting myself in harms way at the time of delivery. last time i went in i almost didnt come out due to my addisons disease. so this pregancy i am alot more cautious and i know what to expect this delivery,
