Close Thrombocytopenic Purpura
I was officially diagnosed with TTP on July 17, 2008. I first noticed any symptoms on July 4 there was Patekei all over me & I was not feeling good. So I went to see my doctor that Tuesday she admitted me to the hospital I was released 3 days later they had diagnosed with me ITP because I tested negative on every test. Everyday I was out of the hospital I grew sicker. July 16 my Mom & sister had to call the ambulance cuz I was unconscious, I spent 15 days in the hospital now I am out patient
Treatments
- Positive Thinking Working / Worked
- I have been positive through this experience I try not to think about the negative but sometimes I cant help it and every time I just lose it I cant control it I wish I could.
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
- They are my rock/ my biggest support system. I couldn't do it without them!
- Writing Working / Worked
- No Matter what I write about, I feel so much better everytime once I am done.
- Plasmapheresis Working / Worked
- Of course it works it is the only thing that will!! I feel so good everytime after I get my treatments
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- I HATE all of the side effects from this druge the facial swelling mood swings not sleeping not being able control my mind period but it is working but I am almost done taking it! Yes!
- Rituxan Working / Worked
- I have already done all 4 treatments but it seems to be working thus far.
- Ambien Working / Worked
- I couldnt live without it right now as sad as that is!!
