Well, I finally got back in the gym today. I still need to take tomorrow off as scheduled, because I am still sore. I ran on the elliptical today, backwards, for 60 minutes and burned 1033 calories. I'll be back on the bike in two days, testing out my leg strength.
The exercise helped work out the knots in my muscles, but now I'll need the extra day to totally recover. I've been working so hard in the gym lately, I should have expected my body to break down sooner or later.
At work, my shift is being reduced from 12 hours to 8 hours. This is good news for my program. This means, if I actually decide to do it, I can work out for two hours a day, do more leg exercises, and hit cardio every day. I would love to give it a go, even for just a few weeks, to see if I can burn those extra calories and get rid of the rest of my belly fat for good.
I think I am going to hit it harder next week. I'm going to push as hard as I can.
