The Results Are In... Mood
Monday, September 8, 2008 | A Positive story

I overslept and missed my workout today, which I will have to make up tomorrow. But, I did get my measuring tape in the mail. Here's the tale of the tape:

Height: 73"

Weight: 196 lbs.

Age: 33

Neck: 16" (no change)

Waist: 36.5" (1" smaller)

Chest: 42.5" (.25" larger)

Arms: 14"    (.25" larger)

Legs: 25.5 " (not measured previously)

Body Fat: 19% (2% lower)

This is the difference from the measurements made at the beginning of August. The body fat change indicates that I have lost about 4 to 5 pounds of fat over the last five weeks. This is consistent with the diet and exercise plan I have implemented, and hopefully, it will stay off because of the way I have done it.

The gains are small, but as long as I keep making progress, I suppose that is all that counts. My weight has remained fairly constant, with only a few pounds of loss, due to two factors: The loss of body fat, and the increase in size in my arms and chest. So although I weigh virtually the same as I did at the beginning of the month (only two pounds less), my BMR will enjoy a slight bump since I have improved the muscle-to-fat ratio.

Also, I am burning more and more cals with each workout in the gym. I expect my gains will be greater over the next month than they were over the last.

That's it for now. More measurements in a month.

Awesome...well done. I'm with neirfane on the callipers. I wish I had some, although given my shape wouldn't be very accurate. All I have to go by are those scales that are supposed to measure body fat. In saying that the measurements can vary given your hydration level...but still it's an idea..better than nothing. Keep up the good work. Hugs and love to you, Eff.
