My husband and I got the start of bad news in Oct. 2007, which we were going to have trouble getting pregnant. At that time I was diagnosed with PCOS. Basically, I realized that I don't ovulate every month...probably every three or four months. In April 08, I had a laparoscopic surgery and then i was diagnosed with having blocked tubes. I was told by my gyno that I would not be able to conceive naturally and IVF was the only way. Within the next two months I traveled to Washington DC to see a fertility doctor. He recommended a HSG dye test to look closer at my blockages. During the procedure, I watched the dye go through my tubes with no difficulty and I cried!! Apparently my tubes spasmed shut during my lap. surgery. By sept. 08, my current gyno started me on clomid and within the first month I was pregnant. Unfortunately, I miscarriage Dec. 08 and my husband and I were devastated!! We have been trying for over two years and my pregnancy, we hoped was the end of our infertility issues!! Started to try over is frustrating to think about and I dread the negative pregnancy tests!!

My husband and I having been trying to get pregnant since oct. 06. Oct. 07 was the start of our fertility issues.
Treatments
- Clomid Working / Worked
- Only used it for one month and then was pregnant; however, I miscarried. I plan on getting back on it when my body readjusts.
- Laparoscopic Surgery Somewhat Helpful
- Metformin Not Working
- I was put on this b/c I was diagnosed with PCOS. I believe I was misdiagnosed and stopped taking metformin. Metformin also gave me horrible legs cramps and I was concerned about clotting in my legs.
- Ovulation Predictor Kit Working / Worked
- Glyburide Working / Worked
- well I considered prediabete. My gyno do wanted to put me on metformin but I refuse. So glyburide exercise and low sugar diet for me!!
- HSG (Hysterosalpingography) Working / Worked
- My first one was Aug. 08, find out tubes were opened..wohoo!! Second one was Sept 09, rechecked tubes, they were opened...now I hope the HSG makes me fertile and pregnant..fingers crossed!!

Open Trying To Conceive
trying to get pregnant for almost three years. Had a miscarriage in Dec. 08 that ended in a D&C Jan. 5. Getting back on clomid in April.

- Artificial Insemination Not Working
- First one was June 09, but unsuccessful. Hopefully we can do more later???
