The results are borderline high as in high as what the Encro would not like but they are not worse than last time so thats good.Its knowing whats the best to do.I really dont want to change drug or start mixing around with it.Leaving you with a big hug and thinking of you also JJ

Close Acromegaly
I was diagnosed in Dec. of 06 and had surgery; I had gamma knife in Feb. of 07 There is still tumor wrapped around teh carotid artery. Tried sandosatin and couldn't tolerate the gastric problem so tried somatuline. The hormone kept climbing so am on the highest dose of somatuline and cabergoline. Seems like it is working but the side effects for me are pretty severe as I have IBS along with this. I just hope that some day the radiation will kick in and this will all go away.
Close Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
I have had IBS-C off and on for years. I have recently been treated with somatuline, gamma knife surgery and sandostatin for a pituitary tumor. IBS has increased the longer I have been on the meds. I need to find out what everybody else does for this so maybe it will give me a break every now and then.
