    • About Me

I'm 26, a mother of an 9 year old. I survived an 8 year abusive relationship with my son's father. I just escaped from a 2 and a half year abusive relationship, with a man who has a 4 year old from a previous reltaionship, who he has custody of. It looks like I always get involved with abusive men and I can't ever seem to be strong enough to get away. I don't want him but I can't get away!

Hang in there, make your son and yourself a priority in your life. When you feel you are ready to move on, make a list of things that are absolute deal breakers in a partner and listen to your red flags. If they don't meet your standards, move on. No questions asked! Have you ever read the book Codependent No More? Its really helpful. It helped me break my history of dating abusive men. Hang in there. You CAN do this. You can and will be loved by a great man one day. You are a great person. You did NOTHING wrong. Remind yourself of that each and every day. Good luck to you.
