Great to hear from you. You have turned an adverse experience into something positive. It does get better. Pam
Thank you! You do give me hope. I am only 2 weeks past my diagnosis, so I'm glad to hear it will get better.
Thank you! I'm doing very well (so far)! Had a few "partying" days with copious amounts of wine, so that was nice! But I kind of found that life without a hangover is pretty nice, so I'm kind of back to the "in moderation" days of when I was on coumadin. He he - the PE changed me for life in ways I never would have guessed! I haven't had any flights since being off the meds, but I've got a trip to London next month, so I'm a bit anxious. My hemo says no meds needed for the trip (and she is fully aware of my numerous 10-12 hour flights per year) and that she would only prescribe me some in order to ease my mind. I might still do, I don't know?!
Glad to hear you're doing so well - I'm so happy to keep in touch with all the PE-peeps from last summer, and so happy to see we're all goin' strong!
Take care, and hugs!
Hi there Dawn and thanks for the hugs! Fancy you spending 3 years in Sheffield! Yes it is the Hallamshire - one of only 5 hospitals in the UK that specialise in pulmonary hypertension. It makes a big difference when the doctors understand all that I've been going through and they really are a lovely bunch in Sheffield. Good luck with your job application - they would be lucky to have you! Sandi xx
I had a Pulmonary Embolism in New York City on 8th April 2008 whilst on holiday from the UK. It has been an extremely traumatic time and life has not been too kind to my family lately with my mum getting diagnosed with breast cancer and having a mascetomy a month after I flew back from NYC. My Uncle then died whilst my mum was in hospital and my Nan was told she had a shadow on her lung. Then we moved house all at the same time. On warfarin until Oct 20 2008 - then will have tests
