God's Angels? A question? Mood
Friday, July 10, 2009 | A Call For Help story

I pray each night with my girls because I want them to feel safe each day with God's protection and I also ask for protection for their minds to not have bad dreams. Last night, I asked for help with God's Angels that if a bad dream comes for them to help run the bad dream off if one comes. Cassidy is four so I had to explain an Angel to her and as soon as I explained it I asked if she felt safe and she said yes and she drifted to sleep. It was sweet.

I suffered from severe nightmares and night-terrors from a very young age and I still remember those scary dreams to this day. They were so scary that they become burned in my mind. But anyhow my point is that if there is anything that I can do to help my girls from having to go through this then I will do it. I believe after extensive research that conscious preparation at night before bed can prevent nightmares. Just saying the simple statement, "I will not have nightmares tonight" can prevent them from happening. It works for me. I am a very vivid dreamer and so are my girls. My husband sleeps like a rock and doesn't remember a thing, rarely anyways.

My mother & father never prayed or read with me before bed. In fact I don't remember my mother talking to me when I was young (I told her this not to long ago and she said that she probably didn't -strange huh?) My Step Father was a very big man and when he walked down the hall my sister and I would jump up and put books in our pants because we were afraid that he was going to spank us (we weren't guilty of anything but we were always afraid of him - think the "Great Santini" the movie). We also never went to church.

So I never connected with my father and I never connected with a heavenly father. I am trying very hard to now. I feel like if I just keep praying more things will become clearer for me. I have had a couple of dreams that have convinced me of his presence and one time I questioned if it was him the next day after having a dream where I was interacting with him.  I heard his voice and one second later if I had not asked him the question at that exact moment I would have been involved in a horrible & dramatic tragedy with my car.  I would have been dead after smashing into a stalled car and then my car would have fallen around 500 yards down from the freeway bridge.  Okay! It was you, no more questions. He saved my life, again. He had been there my whole life saving me from death many times.

"on Death and Dying" by Elizabeth Kubler-Ross was a book that I read in college and I saw elizabeth interviewed  on Oprah and she believed that you can dream and talk to souls that have passed on. But Christian belief says NOT. I have dreamt of souls that have passed on many times and I have dreamt of heaven and my grandmother in heaven and the smell of her garden in heaven. Last night before bed I was praying with my daughter and I was asking for God's angels to come to our dreams. I had an angel come to my dream, a soul that passed on. It was a person who had passed and it was him in his personality doing things that were just like him and it was sweet and funny. Was it my imagination or could it have been an angel? Any comments? What are angels anyways?

When I was young, about 5 or so, I had this one dream that always kept repeating itself. It was of a plane, then flames covering it. What I saw walking from the burning plane was a dark figure of a man. The dreams decreased as I got older. I told my mother and brother about it. When I was 16, my godfather and his brother died in a plane crash in Poland. The dream stopped but then others have started. In one form or another they became true. If I remembered the dream, I write the facts down and kept a log. I "kept" a log is key. After my brain injury, the dreams have stopped, at least the bad ones that I remember. I still have bad dreams but I do not remember them. Strange, isn't it.

This is so real and goes much deeper than you know or maybe you already know, prayer is a great start.
It happens to me on a regular basis. When I dream I can even meet new souls or someone who I am going to meet in the future. I can't remember when I had my last night mare which is info only (somewhat bragging) and I don't know why this is the case-just lucky I guess or my mind is at peace. I would like to think that I am at peace. I sure had horrible ones when little. Like you I remember those dreams, one unparticular stick out.

When people who have passed come to us in our dreams they generally look extremely healthy and use symbolism to confirm to us that it’s them by doing something that they would normally do when we knew them in life. Our personalities don’t change, they just don’t come with the baggage we carry in life.

Your grandmother showing you the smell of her garden was intentional so as to convey her Love to you!!! Anything having to do with flowers or their smell is generally Love but not 100% of the time.
Since they rarely communicate with words (I have never heard them speak) they use symbols such as the smell of your g-mothers garden. That is SO COOL you had that dream because you did meet see your grandmother that night, believe it.

Carry that with you forever and know that you have the power to always meet up with her. That is a perfect example of what I am talking about. The ones who pass never ever leave us; they are always around and are aware of everything you do. If we pay attention they will let us know such as that dream of yours.

Before you go to bed tonight imagine a bright soothing beam of light surrounding you like pillows (make it what you want) then ask for a visit by the one you want to see. A pushy person/relative may want to take the spotlight (pun not intended) from the one you ask for but just let it happen.
Your guardian Angels may help you if they feel you need the help. Also let your children know that they each have their own Guardian Angel(s) and there is nothing to fear. We create our own hell, no one else can do that for Us.

If you have any questions please mail me.
