Thanks for the hug. I'm so glad I found this network. Mu husband has been a great supporter, but I'm glad I found a way to lean on someone othe than him all the the time. He deserves a break. And other people might be need me to lean on too. =)

Close Arnold-Chiari Malformation
About 2 years ago I was dianosed with Chiari Malformation. I have had this all my life with symptoms but never new what was wrong. In 2006 within a 2 month period my symptoms hit me hard and I was half paralysed when I had surgery. I flew to Colorado to find out I had 99% blockage with my spinal fluid. I was told it would only take another month to be completely paralysed. I had surgery 2 weeks later. The surgery gave me feeling back, but I still have symptoms on a daily basis. I have researched doctors in the area that know something about Chiari. None of them will listen and blame my symptoms on other things like allergies or reqular migrains. My son has started to have symptoms and they cant find out what is wrong with him. We have been refered to an out of state doctor for Pediatric Chiari Patients.
Treatments
- Topamax Working / Worked
- I had problems with this mediacation making me loopey. I am scared to take anything like it and the doctors in my area wont perscribe anything else.
Close Graves' Disease
I was diagnosed with Graves in Dec 2007
Treatments
- Methimazole Working / Worked
- Though this taste nasty, I am almost done. I did have an allergic reaction to it when I first started it.
