About Me
I have been dx now for 18 mos, but I have had it since I was 21 (I am now 45). I am married (21 1/2 years) and have 3 beautiful children. We live in a suburb of Baltimore, MD but are originally from Columbus, OH (GO BUCKEYES!!!) Mostly I am very lonely and struggling with some of the "side effects" of MS. I look forward to making friends. I am a very good listener - please "bend my ear".

Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
I was dx with MS on 10/5/05. I use Copaxone as my treatment. I was put on Baxlofen on 2/9/07, 10 mg tabs. I am not sure how the meds is affecting me since I take so many other drugs. I look forward to talking with you.
Treatments
- Baclofen Working / Worked
- I am not sure - I am taking a lot of other medss.
- Copaxone Working / Worked
- So far, so good.
- Zoloft Working / Worked
- I was put on it since I got depressed being diagnosed. I am not sure it is working. I don't see my doctor until June, so I figure I will have to wait until then.

- Yes. I just need to remember to take the shot. It is very difficult for me to do the injections on my back due to my back problems.
Close Financial Challenges
I am 45 years old and have Multiple Sclerosis. I was diagnosed 10/05 - but have not been able to work since 06/05. I am married and have three kids. I have applied for SSDI - waiting on the court date - but in the meantime I will probably lose my house, credit rating, etc. Any suggestions? My husband makes a good income - unfortunately we have had to use our credit cards to get us through this time- we can't even pay all of our bills. Bankruptcy and Credit counseling is out of the picture.
Treatments
- Budgeting Somewhat Helpful
- Up until I got sick things were going great. Paid cash for almost everything.
- Credit Counseling Not Working
- I failed - not the program
- Debt Consolidation Working / Worked
- Unfottunately we have already used all the equity in our house and it is not an option at this time.
- Filing for Bankruptcy Working / Worked
- In 1994. It taught us a lesson and we worked very hard not to get into to this position.
