Originally from NC: have two sons, a daughter in law and one grandson still there. Have been in Fl since 2001. Retired after being DX'd with RCC in Mar 08, after 22 years in property management for Cendant Corporation's SE region. I'm lucky enough to have Phil, my soul mate, making this journey with me.

Close Renal Cell Carcinoma (Kidney Cancer)
Diagnosed with RCC Mar 08, nephrectomy Aug 08; now at stage 4 mRCC, lung, bone, neck and brain. With God, my fiance and my friends I shall win this battle and maybe by doing so give hope to others!
Treatments
- Nephrectomy Somewhat Helpful
- Laproscopic - lots of pain after, lots to learn. Worked so far as getting rid of the kidney and tumor, but did not prevent development in other areas. Now have a large hernia above belly button, which will require surgery following treatment of lungs, neck and brain.
