Oh...hello there. I am a woman dealing with some serious medical crap-ola and life changes. I need to form a support system to help me cope with all of these changes and I'd like to reach out to those who need an ear or a hug. Being sick isn't very conductive to new social situations. I had to stop working due to my illness so the opportunities to meet new people...well, just aren't there. I am a kind, gentle, honest, kooky, open minded woman that plays well with other non judgmental, kind, open, real people with a sense of humor. I also forget how to spell half the time lately so be prepared to chuckle with your inner English teacher. Before my life became a comedic tragedy, I was a personal chef and natural health consultant. I am living proof that sometimes sh*t just happens no matter how much freaking tofu you eat or how many vitamins you take. People just get sick sometimes.

My interests include (but are not limited to): Being happily married, my daughter, botany and gardening, music sweet music...especially traditional music from all over the world, peace, justice, yoga, meditation, the written and spoken word, dogs, cooking & baking, herbology, soap, candle, and paper making, movies, hot springs...well, water in any form...living in the desert does that to you. I am also a fan of espresso, tea, nutritional health, seeking the truth in all areas of my life, spirituality VS dogma, evolution, change, the balancing act of integrative medicine, occasional sarcasm as a coping mechanism, and hope... I am a big fan of hope.

Hope you are having fun! Have a wonderful evening. (((HUGS)))
Hi, Thanks Tam for the explanation. I think you described it very well because that is what has been happening for me. I am hoping that one day I will not have the tightening on my skin at all. The wrist area and my hands have softened considerably but there is room for alot of softening in my arm between the wrist and elbow. I work very hard at not focusing on what I can not do, but I am hoping to find my arms "normal" again. I am truly grateful for the progress. I know you will understand what I am talking about. love & hugs to you! Toshie
It was a very nice day here for change. The weather is so unpredictable. I sure hope you get a chance to do your garden because I know how much you enjoy it.
It is time to put all the roses to bed. Cut most of them down already. Next I have to cover with those styrofoam cones. It does protect them for the winter.
Dolly and Koko are such good friends now. It is fun to watch them play.
I found out that the new remedy is Lepro which has something to do with leprosy. Kind of scary but fascinating at the same time. I really don't understand homeopathy very well, but if it works don't fix it I guess. lol Have a good night.(((HUGS)))
Heard Phoenix had 90's the other day. I am hoping you send some warmth this way, lol! Hows your garden doing? Hope you have a good day! (((HUGS)))
Happy Halloween to you too...a little late cause it is after midnight! Got back late from the conference. Went all day and stayed for the dance. Stiff but enjoyed dancing. Hope you had a good evening. Sleep for me now. love & hugs!
I call it BODY THAT DOES NOT FEEL GOOD Syndrome, as my body converts most signals into pain signals. I manage my health with integrative medicine...a blend of allopathic and holistic treatments for (hopefully) optimal results.
DR termed this normal at first, before the spinal involvment, due to being a chef for 18 years. Normal? At 36?
Wheat. 'The staff of life' makes me sicker than heck. Soy, nitrates, nightshades, and some tree nuts. I have to be very careful with lable reading. A small amount of soy flour and edadame can be tollerated but not the oil.
