Well, back in April 2000 we had a car accident which resulted in my being diagnosed with severe back sprain & cervical and spinal whiplash. Went through all the steps of therapy,pain management and tons of meds. Was diagnosed with POSSIBLE fibro? by my GP in 2002. Finally last fall found DR. who understands and BELIEVES what I'm dealing with. We keep working on finding the right meds. I don't have the Flair ups I hear about. I am on the severe end pretty much all the time.
I am 34 yrs.old,mother of three beautiful children and I am deeply in love with my husband of almost ten year. In 2000,we had a minor car accident that caused me to have spinal&cervical whiplash and a severe back sprain. I had 2 yrs. of tests,bloodwork,therapy and pain management. Then after an MRI my Dr. told me I had DDD & Fibromyalsia. Before then,I just figured it was just going to take a while to get "back to normal". Now,I know that I will never be the same active person again.
My 9 yr.old has ADHD as part of her full diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder/Auditory & Sensory Issues as well as trouble with gross motor skills. I always new Sammantha was different, but I just thought she was unique to her until Kindergarten when they started noticing minor issues. We have been through numerous evals, diagnosis, Dr.'s, Counceling Services and have had TSS,BSC and MT with us for almost a year. Allthough we are taking baby steps, the improvements far outweigh the drawbacks.
My 9 yr. old daughter was diagnosed 1 1/2 yrs. ago after going trough all the doctors/tests/evals and all that since kindergarten. She is also diagnosed with ADHD/Auditory&Sensory Issues/Learing Disability/Gross Motor Functioning all which keep us busy and working to improve her life.
Both my 9 yr.old daughter & 3 yr. old son have the condition. In my daughters case her diagnosis is mild chronic my son on the other hand is on breathing treatments daily.
My Depression is affected by my emotional state, my mental state and my physical state. When I was a teen, I was sexually asaulted by a family friend and that left it's mark. When I was 20, I had my daughter and her father and I had an emotionally challenging relationship and I went downhill for quite a while. After my marriage, we had a car accident & I now stuggle with fibromyalgia which is aggivated by Degenerative Disc Disease.I have good days & bad days, like everybody.
