The Celexa is working and I'm feeling great. Thanks so much for everyone's support. I was sooo scared to take the meds but they …
I'm 29 and suffer from severe anxiety/panic attacks. I finally had to get on Celexa but it has helped me a lot. I also alternate xanex and klonopin. I lost my only child to SIDS 9 years ago and have PTSD from that.

I'm actually finally able to change this from "nothing anymore" to....reading, family time, walking, listening to the rain and music.

Ok. I'm new at this and have no idea if I am doing this right. I have been having panic attacks on/off for the past 8 years. …
Hey Girl! I just wanted to say hi, check in and see how you and your friend are doing...hope all is well!! XOX
Hang in there girl, I know exactly what you are going through. I went 11 years without having a panic attack, and one day out of the blue while I was at work as well I had the same thing happen. I was under ALOT of stress but thought I was handling it well to. I went back to Dr. got all the physical things checked out and got on some ativan only as needed. Just having them helps. take care.
Hey! I read your post on the panic attack board. You spoke of shortness of breath and I thought I'd share something that made me feel a little better on that subject. Whenever I would get short of breath it was because I would feel this tightness in my throat and it would scare me. I had a friend who went to a ear, nose, and throat specialist who felt the same way that I did. The Dr. told her that the tight feeling is because when we are stressed we unconsciously tighten one of the muscles in our throat. The muscles around it are stronger than it so it will never ever cut off air supply but it does feel uncomfortable. So now whenever I start to feel that tightness I know its because I am stressed and not because I can't breathe and it helps me keep my breathing regular. Hope this helps!

I've been suffering from panic attacks for about 9 years. I lost my only child 9 years ago to SIDS. Only over the past 2 months have they gotten so bad I cannot even function anymore. I am missing work and I stay in my bedroom. I start Celexa tomorrow and I am very scared. I HATE meds.
