Married/no kids, 7th grade middle school teacher, big fan of Ohio State, very close w/ husband and family. Chronic headaches for over 3 years after a URI. Just diagnosed with Chiari I Malformation (a serious neurological disorder where the bottom part of the brain descends out of the skull putting pressure on both the brain and spine) in July 2008. No pain relief since Feb. 27, 2005.

Mild case of Chiari, not enough to perform surgery. Been in constant, chronic, daily headpain for over 3 years. Nothing helps. Doctors cannot figure out what will help. I just got diagnosed with Chiari last week (3 years, 4 months, and 19 days later) and am going crazy. It's nice to have a diagnosis, but they can't do anything about my CONSTANT PAIN!
I've been in constant head-pain since Feb. 2005 (chronic headache). I am so tired of it. I feel like it's running my life. I'm not the person I used to be. I try to stay positive and upbeat, it takes so much energy. It's getting really old! I need help, how do I deal with this?
