Close Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML)
Stage: M3Former AML-APL diagnosis in January of 2007 at age 28. Underwent failed Idarubicin/ATRA induction. Went through three rounds of Arsenic Trioxide, which put me into remission. Followed that up with an autologous stem cell transplant Sept 2007. I am ten months out, and feeling great.
Treatments
- Bone Marrow Transplant Working / Worked
- Sept of 2007. Auto transplant.
- Chemotherapy Working / Worked
- I'm really suppose to describe my experience? It sucked. Did not work for me.
Close Infertility
I am 30 years old, and have premature ovarian failure due to chemotherapy exposure. I was diagnosed with Leukemia at age 28, and underwent an auto stem cell transplant in Sept of 2007 that made my ovaries stop functioning. I have seen two RE's, undergone ovarian stimulation with Clomid/Menopur/Ovidrel and been told that I have no eggs remaining from the treatment, or at least none that can be seen. Now looking into using a donor's eggs...
