About Me
I am married and have one teenage daughter. I found out I had MS in 2005, I started treatment with avonex in 2006. I still work , but gonna have to find a new job soon. I work at a restaurant, so on my feet for 8 hours a day. My muscles and feet kill me by the end of the week. I might go back to school to try something new, but just thinking right now. I have alot of questions about MS as I progress more with desease. That why I joined DS

Interests
I love music and I read alot!!, but reading is a great relaxer for me on medication days.( I forget how bad I feel with side effects). I miss not being so tired, but I am living with it ok now!!!

Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
I was told I had ms in 2005, I started treatments in 2006 with avonex. Once the drug in in your system for a while it does work, but alot of side effects. My daughter says I have changed with drug.But not sure if its the drug or we have drifted apart. I wanted to join a support group to help our relationship. My husband has been very supportive and I know things are much different with our lives. Avonex works for me because I still work full-time. I just need some moral support!!
Treatments
- Avonex Working / Worked
- Take two extra strength tylenol a half before injection, and two more tylenol 6 hours after. I really helps with flu symtoms. At first I would take tylenol every 6 hours for a full 24 hours. But now two doses of tylenol really is really all I need.
