About Me
I have two children and am going to College. I struggled with heroin and meth addiction for years and have been clean for 1.5 years. I also have struggled with disorders such as ADHD, Depression and anxiety. I have never got any formal help with these disorders, and they are attacking my entire life right now. I got evaluated and waiting on a feedback. Besides the downer stuff about me, I live in Alaska and love it here. I love the outdoors, I love to drink mochas, and hang out with close friends. I enjoy my kids more than anything in this world. I also love bowling, rollerskating, snowmachining, snowboarding, and sitting around a hot fire in the middle of winter.

I, TOO, STRUGGLED WITH METH ADDICTION, MY HUBBY HAD A STROKE IN 2004 BECAUSE OF IT, WE DROVE EIGHTEEN WHEELER'S CROSS COUNTRY, SO IF U KNOW ANYTHING OF THE TRUCKER'S LIFESTYLE, U CAN IMAGINE...I STRUGGLE WITH ANXIETY, ALONG WITH BEING HIS SOLE CAREGIVER 24/7, THAT REALLY TAKES IT'S TOLL ON ME BOTH PHYSICALLY, AND MENTALLY...CHECK OUT MY PROFILE, AND I HOPE TO HEAR FROM U AGAIN!!!

Dear askserena, Thank you for your kind words , and support for my daughter in her desire and struggle to be free of meth. It makes my heart happy to learn when another person takes that step to be free of that horrible drug or that they no longer are using. The courage and strength it takes to make the first step to be free is something those of us who have never been trapped by drug addiction ourselves can only imagine how hard it must be. To have love and support of family is one of the most important things for the addict, for the first time in a long time, I have a hope that my daughter will finally be able to have the life she deserves--a drug free one. My best wishes to you, and congratulations of being meth free for a year and a half--I wish you the absolute best for your future and your children's future. Each moment not using is a blessing for you and to all who love and care about you. My daughter is doing really well, and has begun to lay out plans for her future, we are blessed beyond measure. You have given your children the most precious and priceless gift possible...a clean mother---I pray your life will be all it can be, and you have given yourself something no one can take away--God bless you. I sincerely wish you the best this life has to offer. I have heard it said from more than one meth addict, after being diagnosed as bipolar, and getting correct medication to treat it, that they didn't seem to have any problem staying off using--just something I either heard or read somewhere, just don't remember where, But, it is encouraging. - Hydrocodone Somewhat Helpful
- I cannot say it is a lifesaver for me, but it does take away the edge from the severity of my pain. I dont need anything stronger due to my drug abuse history.

I was hooked on meth for 4 years.

- I had to give it up, and it was hard but it worked.

- HA! Cold turkey is almost impossible, at least for me

- Made me so tired, and I slept for a long time. I dont know if it is because of the valium.

- Obviously works., but my ortho does not want to prescribe this for my CT pain, he would rather give me something like gabapentin or whatever, and that stuff does not help!

- This program is awesome! It can save someone's life, it has saved my mom's life and I have seen people in the group that their lives have changed too.
