My Job Hates Me!! Mood
Thursday, March 12, 2009 | A General Update story
Well I made another mistake at work again, my coworker jumped in the middle of what I was doing and I wasn't thinking. Somedays I really hate her, but others I really need her support. I wish that she looked up to me in any sort of way. But she doesn't. I asked another coworker yesterday why he resented me so much. I kind-of talked, but he really did not say why. He is leaving anyways. And the youngest coworker is really imature. why do I need his approval. He does not have my back. No one does there. They remeber every little mistake I make and tell the big boss when he comes around.  I really do like my job. They make it so hard. And the boss won't go one way or another. He is kind of a woos. Everyone who reads this will probably say "get a new job". But the current rate here in my small town is $7-$7.50. I make 10.50 plus benefits.I had my review and I argued with the boss on some items that he said I needed improvement or just meets expectations. He finally agreed that there were two areas that I "Exceeded Expectations". But you know what? He would not give me a raise. What am I doing so wrong that the younger coworker gets good reviews( I seen it) get raises and gets pushed into management positions.I'm on lunch right now, but it is time to go back to work. Pray for me.

I understand in today's world getting and keeping a job is tough! So many people out of work . You hang in there remember its ONLY a job not your life. When I was working (I retired after 25 years about a year ago) when things were bad I just remember my real life is at home this is just a way to pay the bills.
some days we are the dog some days we are the fire hydrant !!!!!
    hugs.

You sound so much like me. I thought that I had the perfect job a year ago. Then my great boss left and the new one seems to hate me. I can't seem to do anything fight for her and no one else will speak to me anymore. I havn't changed, so why am I the one being shut out.
I have finally realized that it is not my fault. I will continue to do my job to the best of my ability and in the mean-time I will keep looking for a new and better job where my work will be aprreciated. I am not going to let them ruin the one thing about myself for which I am proud and that is my work. I am good at what I do. They will not notice until I am gone but I will know.
I know that you like your job, but if it's in a hostile environment, it's not good for you. Don't quit, but don't think that it is the only option you have either. Keep an eye out for something better, and pray that God helps you to be where you need to be.
Prayer of St. Theresa of the Little Flower

May today there be peace within.
May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in God, yourself and others.
May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content with yourself just the way you are.
Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.
    Hugs, Sandy
