: Clinical (Major) DepressionI am 38 years old and have been battling depression for 14 years. I have seen many doctors and have tried many drugs. Some have worked great until they have pooped out. I am always exhausted and have many other depression symptoms still. I have one child with ADHD. I have many in-laws who do not understand either ADHD or depression. Therefore I am usually looked down upon. I hope to get answers, and/ or support from DailyStrength.

I have gone through depression since my son was born 14 years ago. They thought that I was BIpolar before that. I have been hospitalized 3 times and have tried many different meds. I seem to cycle or so every two years. Most of these years I have slept away the depression, I could sleep 19 hours a day.I hate the feeling of people not understanding or judging you. I hate the pain and the loneliness, not understanding. Sometimes wanting to leave this world.I have no friend or family to speak well.
Treatments
- Adderall Working / Worked
- This is an awesome drug used to treat ADHD. It has put more focus in my life and I can stay awake to enjoy the life that I have been sleeping through
- Crying Somewhat Helpful
- Drains me so that I fall asleep faster
- Lithium Somewhat Helpful
- not really sure what it is doing for me.
