Here I am again. I seem to be doing pretty good with the IPF. Had another CT scan and there is some progression but not dramatic or anything. I am still on 2 l by day and 3 by nite. I think I am more dependent on the O2 now I can't cheat and take it off to say run to the kitchen for a glass of water or I'm huffing and puffing but it hasn't shown up on the function tests so I am grateful.

Mikes CT scan showed progression as well....hoping you both have no further downturn for a while.

Here we are months later and it just occured to me that the really severe back pain that I've been experiencing in the thoracic spine is probably coming from the IPF. I know that the breathing has really deteriorated significantly these past three months or so. I had a fall and broke my thigh bone and was so limited and that has left me deconditioned and weak. Please God, I will see my PCP on Thurs next and will run this by her but I'm pretty sure I'm right. If this is the end stage I just hope it goes quickly and that I can be kept reasonably comfortable. There will be no transplant, respirator or any of that jazz. I hope that my kids understand my feelings.
