Here I am again. I seem to be doing pretty good with the IPF. Had another CT scan and there is some progression but not dramatic or …
Retired from teaching 45 years ago to marry, went back to school got 2nd degree in health data management and worked with coders, nurses and docs for 15years and retired in 2001. Raised three kids, 2 boys and girl, have 6 wonderful grandkids aged 3 months-13. Oldest of my boys lives as a bachelor near Augusta, GA. Luckily the others are local and I see them often. My dear husband, Joe, died 28months ago following surgery for knee replacement. Hospital was asleep at the wheel and he was left desaturating following his surgery for a day and a half and no intervention was made till too late. His huge and loving heart just couldn't take it and we lost him.

Thanks for the comment ? LOL it doesn't seem to have "taken" but I appreciate the thought :)
Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. They meant more than I can say.
I am with you. I go to the Simmions Center too, Dr Gibson is my Dr. to have not seen him because my Md. up till a month ago was Dr. Rossas. I am 31 with Pulmonary Fibrosis, was on O2 not any more. If you need to talk you can e-mail me at Gabbyj21@aol.com Jenny
I was diagnosed in Dec. of 2007, and didn't get on Oxygen till after Xmas. I go to Simmons Center for interstitial lung disease at UPMC and see Dr. Kevin Gibson. Just yesterday I was scripted for home Oxygen due to exercise intolerance. I use 3-l @ nite and 2 during the day unless seated and reading or watching tv. I am now puffing with just a trip to the garage. The fast progression since Dec. has me scared that this is going much faster than anticipated. I am starting to get depressed. My daughter who has been so great to me is in denial about all this and I believe (though she hasn't said so, but the undertone is there, for sure) that I am some how or other clinging to my infirmities and that positive thinking and exercise will solve my problems.
