Well this week we "graduated" from the Border Patrol academy. I still have to spend another couple months here for Spanish. It kind of sucks because they moved us into some really crappy accomodations, it would have been better had they just left us in our old rooms. So we had to go through the trouble of moving all our stuff just to end up in crappier dorms.
Everyone is pretty miserable about it. We had figured since we had graduated we should be entitled to move to better rooms and we ended up in worse ones instead. Oh well, it's just another 8 weeks I guess, but it's still dissapointing. So I'll start Spanish on monday and we'll see how it goes. Hopefully once I finish that up and get to Yuma I'll check in with ya'll more often.
I still have a long ways to go towards putting the pieces of my life back together, but I guess this is one step closer. Thanks for your prayers and support.
P.S. I posted a pic from graduation for ya'll.

Hey guys, just finished up week 10. We did some fun driving stuff this week, but my favoorite was shotguns. Our service shotgun has got to be one of the most awesome weapons I've handled. I had a great time with that, and the instruction and drills left me feeling very confident with it. I'm looking forward to shotgun quals next week.
We got pepper sprayed wednesday too and that was bad. Apparently there's only one grade stronger than what we get and it's used at supermax prisons. That had to be the most horrible pain I have ever experienced in my life. We had heard stories from other classes, and one of the females in our session confirmed - it was worse than childbirth. Still I was able to effect an arrest and complete my scenario. Everyone is pretty much just relieved that it's over with.
I guess that's pretty much it. We only have 8 more days really since the next two weeks are both 4 day weeks. Then I'll be here for Spanish for a couple months, but that shouldn't be bad or anything. I hope all my DS friends are doing okay.

I am so glad to hear that you are well, and you sound a bit more upbeat as well!. Good luck in Spanish!!
