On The Road Again
One of my numerous jobs after my aviation furlough. I drove for 17 months coast to coast and in and out of Canada. The wife rode with me full time for 7 months. That cab got REAL small.......

I feel for you...it's a TOUGH job! My dad (well, step-dad) was a truck driver while we were growing up and we'd go with him a lot. As kids, we thought it was hella fun! LOL My brother also did it for awhile a couple of years ago. You really start to miss just being home. Is that a real pic of your rig? Did you own it or rent it?

I was a company driver and assigned this rig. I had been driving for the company just 7 months when they presented me with this brand new tractor! The wife and I actually pulled the plastic off the chairs - it had just 187 miles on it. I'm pulling a "curtianside" trailer in this photo.....the sides slid on a track like a shower curtian and was held into place by buckles and snaps. I hauled mostly building supplies(wood products) with this type trailer. I pulled mostly flatbed trailers, carring "oversize" and/or "overweight" loads that had to have special permits. and be flaged out. I actually had an aptitude for driving and was good at it.

I am a truck driver and that is a nice truck... I work at a construction company running trucks and heavy equipment...
