Close Cerebral Palsy
I have a 3yr. old daughter with mild CP.
Close Meningitis
When our daughter was 12 days old we could tell that something was not right so we took her to the hospital. She was admitted to the ER and worked on right away...we were told that she had some type of meningitis. @48 later in the PICU it was confirmed that she had bactiral meningitis E-coli.
Treatments
- Vancomycin Working / Worked
- Vanc was one of many treatments that were used. I would say it helped because she is still with us.
Open Epilepsy & Seizures
I have a daughter that has many different kinds of seizures due to bactrial meningitis when she was a new born.
Treatments
- Diastat Somewhat Helpful
- Keppra Somewhat Helpful
- works ok but due to side effects I am not sure how good it is.
- Phenobarbital Working / Worked
- worked until she was 18 months old.
- Trileptal Working / Worked
- seems to work ok but still have to take 2 other meds for seizures
- Zonegran Somewhat Helpful
- worked for night control for 2 months than had to add it to days meds too.
