Diagnosed w/idiopathic scoliosis at 10, braced (Milwaukee) at 11. Docs tried weaning out at 14 (way too early). Did daily exercises per PT (don't think they really did any good). Thoracic & lumbar curves almost always within 5 degrees of each other. Docs limit was 45 for either or that they were not balanced. Just before high school graduation I hit 45 degrees and surgery was set for that August.
I was diagnosed in 1991 (age 29) with Hashimoto hypothyrodism after exhibiting symptoms of dry skin patches on the back of my arms and a continually raspy voice.
Complete hysterectomy (abdominal) at age 40. Two years prior, had clustered ovarian cysts (benign) removed. Was told they might recur, & they did 2 yrs later. With a maternal history of ovarian cancer & the chance for my cysts to turn into something cancerous, I opted for surgery.
