I have found it hard to get to this as I have been so up and down with my emoyions.
I just found out medicare denied a battery operated wheelchair to me the third time in 2years.
They seem to want to keep me a bed patient two years is long enough.I have rhumatoid arth. and I am only 65 but can't walk due to needing hip and kee surgery which I am unable to have until my wound heals on my leg
it finally hass closed agter 5 years.
My doctors have filled out every form
Does anone know where to go next?
I feel like contacting civil rights,elder abuse, center for the disabled
I think they want to have you give up
This is america the greatest country in the world?
I want to go places and live life as fully as possible
Do any of you know how I can get a wheelchair?
Please help me!

Char, I am so sorry you have been denied again. I do not understand how "they" decide who they approve and who they deny but I do agree that they just hope a lot of people give up and quit applying after a couple denials. All I can suggest is that you continue to apply ... do not give up. And pray pray pray. I will be praying with you. Prayers do move the hands of God. Love & hugs,

I am sor sorry you were denined again too. Have to tried contacting an attorney to help you with this. Yes I know it will cost some but that might be the only way to get the help you need????

Would you qualify for DSS services? Then they could go in and help you apply. Don't know. I hope you figure something out and can get what you need.
