Close Bipolar Disorder
BP diagnosed several years ago but just got on, what seems to be, the right track.
Treatments
- Effexor Working / Worked
- Has worked wonders. I do have MAJOR s.efects if I miss a dose.
- Klonopin Working / Worked
- Helps big time! Helps me chill out when too manic or restlessoverwhelmed.
- Lamictal Working / Worked
- Hard @ 1st but once I got used to it, been a big help.
- Meditation Working / Worked
- Works realy well WHEN I CAN QUIET MY MIND!
- Seroquel Considering
- Have realy hard time waking when I take it.
- Strattera Working / Worked
Close Parenting Teenagers (12-18)
I am a Bipolar mom of 3: 5,12 & 16. My 2 older ones are showing signs of poss. "issues" between sev. mood swings & mania & poss. ADD.....

- Patience Somewhat Helpful
- Just trying to ignore the "tempertantums." Hard to tell what is THEM & what could be part of an illness.
- Psychotherapy Not Working
- Still looking for s.one who won't want them on 5 dif. meds after meeting them ONCE!
Open Lyme Disease
Just diagnosed a couple weeks ago. Lots going on w/ this. First we thought I had Fibromyalgia & still poss. I feel totally non functional @ times. Exuasted,serious memory probs., scatter brained a lot! "Floating" sensations,joint pain ect. Realy worried about the neuro. effects though. Already got probs. w/ BP & deppression/ADD! GOING CRAZY! Hubby doesn't understand the magnitude of this!

Open Depression in Children
Have dep. & BP. Worried my girls are also effected. Mainly my 12 yr. old. She doesn't want to talk to counsilor! Not sure what to do. She's incredibly smart,good in school(grades).Very talented. Just don't want to see her travel the dark & lonely path I did.

My 17 yr. old has wieght probs. As well as myself. I used to be underwieght. Then, it started piling on out of nowhere! She has to take growth hormones & her health issues work against her to keep her wieght level! I told her about this site & she's going to join herself. Really in need of friends!

I used to be a "social butterfly". In the past 8 yrs. I've slowly gotten worse. I have no friends. When I have the chance to talk to ppl. I usually sound like a mumbling idiot. I get sooo nervous & freaked out! Don't know why & can't seem to control it.
