My name is Mary. I had 2 cervical disc fusions operations. After my 2nd operation (about 6 months) I was diagnosed with Fibro. I had been getting headaches for about 4 or 5 years before my surgery. Since then it seems like I get more and more problems as time goes on. So I just take one day at a time...
Treatments
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- This helps with the pain and depression.
- Duragesic Patch Working / Worked
- This worked at first but had to increase it all the time. I had to stop after a couple of years because it was being absorbed into my body too fast.
- Morphine Working / Worked
- It helps with the pain.Takes the edge off. Still quite a bit of pain.

I'm 45 and I have 3 boys. 16, 23 and 28. I have been divorced for a while and have remarried. I also belong to the Fibromyalgia support group. I have had to neck surgerys, anterier disc fusion. I have alot of problems with pain all over. I guess thats my story. I suppose I could go on and on, but I won't. My name is Mary.

- It only helps if everyone is willing to give it a shot.

- Sometimes I will go to the bookstore just to get away. It is very relaxing.

- I think music does help. I also think it can be very relaxing.
- Pets Working / Worked
- It does help to have a pet/pets. They are there for you no matter what is happening.I love my pets.
- Reading Working / Worked
- If you like to read but most of the time I fall asleep when I am reading.

- I do think that support from family and friends helps but I don't like to complain too much.

Hi, My name is Mary. I have fibro, neck and back problems. I have had 2 cervical disc fusions. I have been having problems with my left joint of my jaw bone. I am thinking that it is tmj. So I thought I would check out this group.
Open Back Pain
I have had two neck surgerys and I have fibromyalgia and I have alot of back pain.
Treatments
- Bedrest Working / Worked
- Fentanyl Working / Worked
- It helped with the pain at first but after a while it was dumping into my system too quickly.
- Flexeril Working / Worked
- sometimes helped until the back pain was too severe
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- I used this right after my surgery
- Morphine Working / Worked
- This did help with some of the pain.
- Physical Therapy Working / Worked

Open Sleep Apnea
I am in the process of being tested for sleep apnea. I have to go back on Feb 10 for my 2nd appt to be treated for the apnea. I am trying to learn a little about it before I go back for my 2nd appt.
