I have to start out with this. I've stopped adding people as friends for now and have had to reduce my list. I just can't handle the time it takes to keep close friendships going. I'm and artist and musician married to a wonderful man. We have 6 children and 3 grandchildren combined from previous marriages. My son and father are also bi-polar. I've been on a disability pension for 11 years now due to my illness. I'm not sure if it's the disease, but I only have the ability to create art or music and don't seem able to do both during the same period. Frustrating at times, but I'm learning to accept it and appreciate my separate gifts.

Music & art of course. I am an avid kayaker. Being in nature. Watching wildlife & landscaping our yard to draw it in.

Hi Sally...Thanks for your observations on my Journal. To answer your questions....
One of the most difficult eye movements to decode, is the gaze. The gaze can mean so many things that trying to decipher it, may seem like an impossible task. In your case,if your are gazing over your friends shoulder but still listening intently and then refocusing the gaze to their face, perhaps you are politely telling that person to stop "talking"....I want to talk now.
Gazing can have a more direct meaning, when the gaze is aimed at a particular part of the body. For example, gazing at the mouth is a sign that you want to kiss that person, whereas gazing at sexual regions is a sign that you want to engage in sexual activity with them. This gaze is most prevalent during interactions with the opposite sex. Just something to keep in mind.
Hugs.....Fred
...want to let you know I'm thinking of you sweets.

No, Never been a smoker. I ate some cigarettes when I was just an infant crawling around. Found my Mom's and apparently ate some with disastrous results! So I am told, but never had a desire to smoke...Maybe that is why,LOL! Have a good one!
I'm bi-polar as well as having a son and father who are bp as well. I'm happy to see that there is support here for family and friends as well as educational links so we can all understand the illness. Feel free to check out my full story on the bp support group
