They have a test kit of the cotton and other stuff, they charge for it, I think. You take it home and sleep with it under your pillow.Or clear yourself as much as possible and sniff it outside for a time period. In my case, I just lied down on the mattresses in the showroom, and I knew it was ok. I think it will be fine for you, honestly. By the way, I also purchased two recliners from them, because I could no longer tolerate my old ones, and even be in the same room with them. That's when we had a bit of money, because I had been working full time.
Yes, I am sure he will. It's really a formality the store has to follow. And, unless you have a miraculous health care plan, if you submit a claim for the mattress set as durable medical goods, it will probably be denied. But try anyway. It took quite a while for the set to arrive. Weeks. I slept on an air mattress covered with about ten layers of cotton sheets that I put on the living room floor (the varnish in my bedroom had yet to be sanded off - another expense)! You see, I really do understand how far a person will go in order to get away from unpleasant triggers. When that mattress set came, I slept in it first night, like a baby. The cotton does have a strong odor at first, but quickly airs out. I did not experience a reaction from it. I don't mean to push you to a particular vendor when shopping for the set. I'm not get ting a kickback, honest. I bought my set back in 2003, there may be other vendors in the Boston area by now. And it's a big expense, so I wouldn't want to feel responsible if you got it and it didn't work for you. I guess that's a disclaimer, but you know what I mean. Make sure you test it for suitability to YOUR sensitivities, which may differ from mine or others.
