Hello to All! I've been a stay at home mom/caregiver for the last two years. I've been taking care of a great man, my husband! We have 2 teenage daughters. My husband was diagnosed with a brain tumor and the doctors said a routine surgery would remove it and life would go on like usual for him..little did we know that after several surgeries and near death experieces that he would still be left with residual tumor and many difficulties to yet overcome. Pray for our family..Just having him here everyday is a blessing and we deal with all the medical stuff as a family and the support of both our families for him is great! He was a firefighter for years and is fortunetly able to still be a (non-active) life-time member and a (non-active) volunteer...And with that extended family, we are truely blessed..With God's grace he will survive all of this!!!!

Not good right now! Just learned Monday Rob has some progression of one left tumor and a small new one above it. He will have to have 10 days of sterotactic radiation, stay on his chemo and start intervenous Avastin every 2 weeks. Today he just handed in his disability letter to work. I can only pray and hope that this treatment works. Odd how you just wrote right at this time. We will know when treatment starts today after the tumor board at Jefferson meet and discuss it all. Sick to my stomach. Sorry to unload but that's life right now, one moment at a time. I do so hope that you and yours are doing well. The girls are getting big have been following your posts. Take care and keep me updated as I will you. Please Pray for Rob.
Love Donna
We doing better hope all goes better for U soon
We have a 16 yr. old daughter that has had her tonsils removed, and still has sleep apnea issues as well as the usual asthma issues. She is a very active kid (she plays 3 sports in highschoool) and doesnt let this get her down..Did anyone out there develop allergies after having their tonsils removed? Or a constant runny nose? The sleep apnea (which we thought would perhaps stop) hasn't gotten any better...Anyone have any remedies that they do at home that helps? Uses a CPAP/Humidifier machine.
I truely believe that anyoone in coma can hear things going on around them..my husband was in a drug induced coma for 2 weeks and drifted off into another for almost 1 mon. and 26 days. I would talk to him, pray with him, and I would also tell him all about the things that were going on around him..each day was hard, but I knew he could hear me and the family talking to him. Later in his recovery he would mention something about a comment and then I KNEW! He said that's what kept him fighting!
"Hello to All!" My husband got his 1st Medtronic Pacemaker in 1998 and with complications from a brain surgery, followed by an infection that spread thru his entire body--his pacemaker was removed in 2005..He has a new one now--and is doing great with it!!!
