Have a girl ages 6, quite a large very close family, used to be a Graphic Designer until last year when I re-trained to be an Aromatherapist & Reflexologist. I am emotionally sensitive, but also emotionally repressive - which causes me no end of problems. 10 yrs ago I started with Trich as a result of being seriously ill... I got over the illness - but still have the Trich & nothing medical has worked! Have just started going to an Alternative Therapist for OCD healing and to try and find me some ways to combat my emotional stresses.... will give it a few weeks and see how it goes!

Cats, my daughter, Reading, Rock music - the old stuff like, Def Leppard, Aerosmith, Whitesnake, GnR. Anything Gothic... am fascinated with vampires. lol. Cooking, Drawing.

Close Trichotillomania (Hair Pulling)
Type: TrichotillomaniaI have had Trich for 10 years now, I first got it when I was seriously ill - I developed an extreme case of eczema over all of my body, which after 2 yrs of doctors, specialists and being head to toe in bandages (none of which worked) I found out I had toxic poisoning... I was very severely depressed and started pulling my hair out - prob to try and divert the pain. The doctor mis-diagnosed me with allopecia, so until recently thats what I thought I had... I dont know anyone else who has this.
Close Anxiety
I get anxiety & depression, I seem to bounced from 1 to the other. I get depressed due to my Trich, going out in public makes me anxious, especially trying to do the supermarket shop on a busy sunday. I have had to leave my trolley and run out a few times because I cant breath!

Open Eczema
Developed severe eczema at 22, was covered head to toe in steriod cream and bandages. Found out I had toxic poisoning and my body was trying to sweat it out of me, this caused a reaction on my skin. Am also allergic to artificial colourings & sweetners, which have an instant reaction within 10 mins of eating something. I found doctors useless as they just pumped me full of antibiotics - which destroyed my immune system. Found homeopathy worked for me.
Treatments
- Betamethasone (Topical) Working / Worked
- works but dont like using it as thins the skin.
- Oilatum Not Working
- had reaction to it

Had depression since being seriously ill at age 22.... Anti-depressants just made me worse and turned me into a mindless zombie - not good when you have a kid to take care of! So didnt stay on them long. Am not as bad now with it, but sometimes slip into black moods for no apparent reason.
