About Me
I have been fit nearly all my life with only a few aches and pains. I have two grown up children. A son and daughter. . I have been looking after my 94 year old Mum but now I am unable to because I had a back op and instead of getting better I seem to be getting worse. I have constant pain and find doing the normal everyday things very difficult. I also now have a heart problem. I feel like I live on pills, pain ones mostly. I'm just looking for friendship on here

I ran into a stranger as he passed by,
"Oh excuse me please" was my reply.
He said, "Please excuse me too;
I wasn't watching for you."
We were very polite, this stranger and I.
We went on our way and we said goodbye.
But at home a different story is told,
How we treat our loved ones, young and old.
Later that day, cooking the evening meal,
My son stood beside me very still.
When I turned, I nearly knocked him down.
"Move out of the way," I said with a frown.
He walked away, his little heart broken.
I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.
While I lay awake in bed,
God's still small voice came to me and said,
"While dealing with a stranger,
common courtesy you use,
but the family you love, you seem to abuse.
Go and look on the kitchen floor,
You'll find some flowers there by the door.
Those are the flowers he brought for you.
He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue.
He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise,
you never saw the tears that filled his little eyes."
By this time, I felt very small,
And now my tears began to fall.
I quietly went and knelt by his bed;
"Wake up, little one, wake up," I said.
"Are these the flowers you picked for me?"
He smiled, "I found 'em, out by the tree.
I picked 'em because they're pretty like you.
I knew you'd like 'em, especially the blue."
I said, "Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today;
I shouldn't have yelled at you that way."
He said, "Oh, Mom, that's okay.
I love you anyway."
I said, "Son, I love you too,
and I do like the flowers, especially the blue."
FAMILY
Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company
that we are working for could easily replace us in
a matter of days.
But the family we left behind will feel the loss
for the rest of their lives.
And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more
into work than into our own family,
an unwise investment indeed,
don't you think?

Close Atrial Fibrillation (AFib)
I was rushed to ICU last weekend with a racing heart,and out of breath. I thought it was a major panic attack. I was put on meds and hooked up to all the machines. They didnt work so I had a cardio version. My heart is pumping normal now but I am getting terrible headaches. I also have a back problem so these meds will interfere with my pain medication. I am feeling pretty down right now.
Treatments
- Amiodarone Not Working
- Gave me terrible headaches
- Ramipril Working / Worked
- This is working but makes me very tired without any energy.
- Rythmol Not Working
- This is the last pill I can take now I have tried everything else. After my last cardioversion everything seems ok so far. I am now back in Afib.
- Tambocor Not Working
- Didn't last very long - went into afib after a week then had double dosage and still went into afib.
Close Arrhythmias
Hi, I recently been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation and was cardio versed in ICU. I am feeling OK now but only seeing the dr at end of July to fill me in on what is next. I am taking warfarin and Hexarone but also suffer with chronic backache after an op 2 yrs ago. I'm not too happy.
Treatments

Open Back Pain
I had a discectomy almost two years ago.L4/L5 and L5/S1. It was nearly 9 months before I could even sit.I started to feel a bit better then gradually got worse.I sometimes have numbness in my feet.I have trouble getting up and down to sit or to bend.The pain is driving me crazy. The dr want to operate again and do a fusion but there is disc narrowing & degeneration in all the discs.I dont want another op.I have recently been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation too.I am very frustrated & in pain.
Treatments
- Bedrest Somewhat Helpful
- Only for a short time if I lie down then I need to get up and move around.
- Heat Somewhat Helpful
- It eases the pain a little bit. I use it before I sleep at night and then before I get up in the morning. I can barely move in the mornings let alone walk!!
- Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- This sometimes helps and other times seems to reawaken more pain. It is too expensive to go regularly.
- Stretching Somewhat Helpful
- When doing some of these exercises it did help but then sometimes I may have overstretched without realising it and then back to square one again.
- Walking Working / Worked
- I try and walk for at least a minimum of 15mins everyday if I can do more then I try for as long as possible until there is too much pain. Only on a flat surface though. I have a difficult time trying to walk up a slope or stairs.
