    • Close Gastric Bypass Surgery

      I've been waiting for 9 months. Initially I was scheduled for surgery August 12th. Praise God they called and moved the date up to July 22nd. Being a teacher, this will allow me to return to work as scheduled.

      Treatments

      Carisoprodol Somewhat Helpful
      Chiropractic Adjustment Somewhat Helpful
      Cortisone (Injection) Not Working
      This sent the pain through the roof, and didn't help even a little.
      Epidural Injection Not Working
      Didn't help even a little.
      Fentanyl Working / Worked
      It took the edge off at the highest dose available, when combined with the highest level of percocet every four hours.
      Heat Somewhat Helpful
      It is helpful, especially since the fused the spine.
      Physical Therapy Working / Worked
      after the spinal fusion, I've found that traction during PT is quite helpful.
      Stretching Somewhat Helpful
      It is important, especially after the spinal fusion.
      TENS Not Working
      Spinal Fusion Working / Worked
      Following surgery to fuse the spine I have been 8085 better. YES! I still have days each month that Im in excruciating pain.
    • Open Brain Injury

      I sustained a TBI in a motor vehicle accident in 1996. I have been diagnosed with executive dysfunction, reading comprehension issues, and adult ADD secondary to TBI. I am working on my master's degree in speech pathology.
