Close Hydrocephalus
I was born with aqueduct steno sis and for 26 years I was told that all my headaches and loss of sight were in my imagination. I met a wonderful dr that actually cared about his patients and ordered a ct and found that all but my 3rd ventricular were closed a shunt was placed but 2 days after the placement I got an abscess in my abdomen I spent 3 and half months in the hospital. when I left I vowed to never return. Just this Jan I had to have it revised and I am finding hard to move forward.
Treatments
- Shunts Working / Worked
- I am finding that I have more side effects from the new revision than before I am told it is because of my age51
- Caffeine Working / Worked
- the caffeine keeps the ventricles dry so the shunt does not have to work so hard. I believe that is why my last shunt lasted for 25 years.
Close Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
I am a 51 year old mother and grandmother of 3. I have multiple problems ct is only one I have it in both wrists I had a nuro dr run tests and he confirmed it.

- Ibuprofen Working / Worked
- the ibuprofen works very well the only problem with is it thins out your blood to much.
- Wrist Splint Working / Worked
- I live in AZ so I try to use the splints as little as possible, because they are very hot. But when I do use them they work great.

- this med seems to work very well for I was on adderall first, but it was to strong

- This anti depressant seems to work better for me than the newer drugs

- I have just graduated out a therapy program and I feel that it helped me understand alot about what goes on in my head.

I have been battling kidney stones for the past 20 years. My kidneys are lace with a huge amount of stones I even had one grow the size of a jaw breaker.

- I try to drink a lot of fluids to keep the infections down

- I have had lithotripsy and laser surgery the surgery was easier to recover from than the litho.
