I am a 56 y.o. lesbian female partnered for almost 20 years. We have a son, age 34 who gave us four grandchildren aged 16, 13, 7, and 5 who live outside of Warner Robbins, GA...WAY too far away. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and work with folks who have medical problems causing behavior issues (formerly known as mental health issues). I used to own a hair salon and sing in a classic rock and blues band. My son is a soon to be amputee due to a motorcycle accident last year and I am working on adjusting to this....

Hi Carol! Thanks for your E Mail! About the Medication I want to ask my Doctor first. Its not that bad with my Hairpulling. In the Past I pulled more. Also i dont have Spots. But this little what i pull still bothers me. But it got better. I alsa have Depression for Years . But I can deal with that, got better too. I hope the Medication works for you. Havent chat with other Peoples yet, but would like to. Can you give me a tip to get in Contacts with the Members? Thank you from sabine

Close Lesbian Relationship Challenges
I'm a social worker and I help people all day every day...except myself. I've been in a relationship for 20 years that has become ....well....let's just say I'm depressed and tired all the time. I have a grown son who is married w/4 children and they are more than 1000 miles away. Until 2/09 they had never been more than 10. He is going to have his leg amputated on 9/25 and I feel helpless. Hate where I live, feel harrassed at work, "roommate" relationship. Life has to be better than this.
Close Sleep Apnea
I have severe sleep apnea that is life threatening. In addition, I am allergic to silicone and have had many problems finding a mask that I can use safely. I am looking for others with this problem to offer support.
Treatments
- CPAP Working / Worked
- I am allergic to silicone and had much difficulty finding a safe mask. I have finally found one that does not touch my face at all except for the nose pillows themselves, for which I have designed a voer that does not interfere with the seal. It works great and I want others to know about it...AEIOMed Headrest.
Open Amputees
My son will soon be an RBK from a motorcycle accident one year ago. I have been trying to find support groups for mother's of amputees and have been unable to do so..so I thought I'd look here. Folks have been very helpful but I still have no specific support group for Moms...so I might just start one!
