HUBBY IS HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL !!!

HOORAY !!

Altho he isn't completely well, his doctors thought he would rest better at home. There is no rest in the hospital !!

As soon as they could, they discontinued each IV Antibiotic, and he is now on Oral Antibiotics. He is still coughing, and has pain in his ribcage where the pneumonia is worst.

He has an oxygen concentrator here at home, recently having to use oxygen at night. His oxygen levels drop as he sleeps. So when he is having breathing difficulties, he can wear the nasal canula here.....just as easily as in the hospital. He has a nebulizer here at home too. So when he is congested or wheezing badly, I can give him a breathing treatment.....just like at the hospital.

He is sleeping better. And often takes a cat nap during the afternoon. He has that "SuperMan Syndrome"......you know.....where the man doesn't need to go to the doctor, or take naps, or things like that. ha Most men seem to have this condition. Wonder why ??

As for the possibility of a stroke. There was nothing that showed up in the MRI as a stroke. Most of his symptoms have gone away. If there was anything at all, it was probably a mini-stroke with NO damage. Again, Thank You Lord for that.

So I appreciate you dear friends for the prayers, and the concern that you showed to both Wes and to me.

I know that I was just about at the end of my rope.......I was hanging onto the knot. It has helped me to have him home too. I can rest a whole lot easier. All of the walking from the parking lots to the lobby to the various elevators was such a long walk for my knees. But, there was the necessary strength for me to do all that needed to be done. And I know where the strength came from !! I am thankful to the Lord for that too. As soon as things settle down here, I'll be right back here on DS.

And the entire time he was in the hospital, we had the worst weather of the year..........the chill factors were always in the teens or lower. One night there was rain that turned into sleet, which coated the roads with ice. I left the hospital a little after midnight. But had no problems with the roads. It was just oh so cold!!

The day he was discharged, it was snowing to beat the band !! And the schools here were closed. But he came home anyway !!  Our little car has front seats that have "bun warmers". Warmed up those seats, Cranked up the heater. Took an extra blanket, and he was snug as a bug in a rug !!  Nary a snow flake on his little head !!

I hope that all of you are doing well. Especially those of you who are in the north where all of the snow has kept everything covered, and businesses closed.
