Neither of us would have imagined that a year ago we would be able to stay smoke free....but we did! Not even one little slip! It wasn't always easy, but it was so worth it. I am beyond proud of myself and of Don. If we can do this, especially with all of the trials and side effects, then ANYONE can!
We love being FREE!
Here's to the next year... ![]()
By the way...after calculating our combined cigarettes not smoked over the course of this last year, I was STUNNED to see it came to over 23,000!!!! It's hard to believe that we were putting THAT MANY into our bodies. Whenever I would have thoughts earlier in my quit of "just one", I would instead go to my quit counter and then visualize the total cigs not smoked. Picturing the large mound that the "just one" would lead to always helped keep me solid in my quit!
So, in order to help us stay grounded...and hopefully help others...here's a couple of pictures:
10,000 Cigarettes.....

20,000 Cigarettes....
