good to hear from you! Sorry to hear that things are still a little rocky. I know what you mean about the pills; I thinking about dropping a few supplements because some of them I can not remember why I started taking them! I hate my Saturday night ritual of filling the pill case for the week. I tried statins and they made my joint and muscle pain worse! I refuse to take them again. Doc would like me to take Zetia but it is expensive; my co-pay would be 30 bucks a month! I've read some stuff about it lately that it is not as effective as once thought. I hope the Humira works for you and you can have less pills. The toe injury is one year old; can you believe it? It healed up fine but it really wasn't until April that I could take a decent walk without pain.
I am no longer working as a trainer. I just had enough of trying to be everyone's fitness go-to girl. I feel much better now that I'm continuing to focus on me and my health. Weight is my constant struggle so I'm right there with you. I just got the Reebok Easytone shoes. They are fabulous! Have you heard of them? They have an unstable sole that is to challenge your balance a little and tone your butt & legs while you walk. I'll try anything :)
How's the little guy and big guy; will he be coming home soon?
Have an awesome day!
I'm glad to hear that the humira seems to be OK for you. I'm doing a little better. My cholesterol is being a PITA. I asked my doc for one more chance to eat right and lose weight to try and avoid yet another med, sigh. I go back in Feb; wish me luck!
Well that's just crazy about your doc's back! Sorry to hear that the Crohn's is back to say hello. I hope you get back onto remission soon. I'm doing OK, July was awesome! I solid BM every am, no issues with any type of aches, I was eating a VERY clean diet and I lost 8 pounds....then came August. Went on a little retreat weekend then I was sick for about a week, stopped using my BiPAP because I was so congested, started eating a bunch of crappy food again. Sept wasn't too much better. I feel pretty good but I gained the weight back and I feel sluggish. So, once again, I'm going to watch what I eat and see if I can't keep in under control this time and get that July feeling back :)
Saw your status, hope the scope goes OK and the new meds do the trick!
I'm a "crohney"... diagnosed in Aug. 08 after YEARS of symptoms. Surgery in Dec. of 08- now enjoying remission. Mom of a great 6 year old, military wife. Looking forward to enjoying life again!
