I like to garden but can't dig due to knee arthritis. I am depressed and have been most of my life. My husband has a chronic diease. I have kidney stones caused by a rare disorder called renal tubular acidosis type 1 and yes I take urocit K. Stones are calcium phosphate.

Moment of Peace

Thank you for your kindness. My kidney infection is gone now I just pray it will stay gone since my kidney are laced with stones I figure I got them for thre rest of my life just like kids.

I have severe kidney stones I even had one grow to the size of a jawbreaker. My insurance company sent me to maricopa medical center for my stones and they were really good. They were the first to tell me to drink home lemonade will help keep them from forming. I you are in the Phoenix area I would check it out if I were you. There are not many urologists left in Phoenix..If you like stay in touch I have been her for 51yrs

Close Kidney Stones
I have had kidney stones, RTA type I since 1965. My kidney function is not good...I started to see a new doctor last year, because I was referred by other urolo. I have had 3 utererscopies in 2007 and 2 in 2008, with no end in site. My stones are difficult... an expert doc is needed. I am on urology merry go round and frustrated... can have the procdure medically every 3 to 4 weeks, in reality it works out to every 3 or 4 months... I have to go to the univ. where funding problems exist...

- can not get the stones out of right kidney
