ok so I drove around town paying bills and such. Things look better but there are still some lines down and traffic lights out and debris everywhere. Im begining to notice damage I didnt before... guess there was so much everywhere I couldnt take it all in. There havent been any more deaths reported so thats great news. I was just watching the weather and they say Ike will hit either louisiana texas or even mexico... guess its a hurry up wait and see.

hey guys they say ike is going to miss us as far as the bulk of the storm. i feel bad for the people in galviston tx they are in for a ride. ike is suposed to take a close path to what rita took 3 years ago which knocked out power for our area for a week. ike should make land fall friday morning i think and hit our area fri night or sat morning. its moving very slow so im hoping it will really calm down before it reaches cenla! we havent really recovered fully from gustav. we still have lines down and some just temporarily fixed and there are still traffic lights that arent opperational yet.
my mother and i joked today that we should just wait until october to celebrate orens birthday lol! poor kid every time we plan a party a hurricane heads our way!
so if you guys dont hear anything its bc we lost power again. pray for those in tx and hope ike chills out!
