  Dear Sunshinehug, Hang in there, I am here to tell you that there is hope for your daughter. It will take time because she has to realize the life she is in, isn't what she wants, and until then, just let her know you love her and are there for her. I had to wait a long time before my daughter came home--and through several attempts for her to come, she always backed out, and then there came a day she got on the bus and came home. When they are immersed in using, they are unable to not only not be able to look at themselves and what they are doing, but how their use affects the ones who love them the most. My daughter said all she cared about was getting high, yet at the same time she felt guilty for the way she treated her family. Things are still un-solid between my two daughters---there are other issues involved that have been carried over, but it is something they have to work out between themselves--without me, unless they ask. No matter what, stay connected to your daughter, even if it is only be email--even if and when she ignores you--even when your heart is breaking and you feel you can't go on, do what you need to do to keep even a little sliver of light headed in her direction, because she is going to one day see that little sliver of light, and she is going to want to walk straight into it for the help she needs. It isn't easy. Believe me, I know. I been there. I had only email to contact her. She made it so that was all I had--I didn't know if she even got them, but she did. She just didn't answer them usually. But, keep some channel open to her, it's the one connection she needs to know is there for her--no matter what--. I hope this makes sense to you... Lovesmybasset

  Power of prayer, my friend, if you want your daughter back, Pray, Pray, Pray, and then do the process, it wouldn't hurt to submit somehow to routine drug tests to prove your sobriety. Good luck and if it is God's will, my dear, it will happen...just do the footwork and have faith.
