First, my heart goes out to you. Cancer is such an insidious disease. I was using premarin vaginal cream and was quite concerned about the cancer risks. A friend sent me a link you might find helpful: http://www.womentowomen.com. This site is in conjunction w/a Women's OB/GYN Center co-created by Dr. Christiane Northrup (no longer practicing there), and they offer a ton of info including bioidentical hormonal info (not synthetics), and holistic alternatives. You might even want to p/u her latest book about menopause. The Center has programs you can choose from which include holistic supplements and will talk w/you on the phone re any questions/support you have/need. I don't know what state you live in but I now see a female holistic GYN (MD) in a center of women GYNs in Illinois where I just started taking the bioidentical hormones (compounded for my specific body chemistry via blood testing from plants). I take it orally so it won't be stored in fatty tissues. If bioidents are not an option, I would find a good naprapath/Chinese doc who will work w/you (you might go to a good organic/health food store for referrals). Just make sure they do the blood work for hormone levels or take any hormone testing that you've done in with you. There are a lot of herbs and treatments out there. I went to a holistic Chinese Doc who saved me during perimenopause w/a tea I steeped w/things that looked like that came off the forest floor. It helped me tremendously. Hang in there m'dear and let me know how it goes...

    • Close Menopause

Hi, everyone. I had a hysterectomy 5 years ago at 30 because of horrendous periods. I am now in peri-menopause and everything that I have tried does not work.I am very resistant to drugs it seems! i can not take HRT and tried lots of alternatives which work for a while then wear off. I just feel stuck and wishing full menopause would come on to get it all finished!

      Treatments
