I just wanted to say thank you for the journal entry you wrote about seeing women as sexual objects and eventually as people. My fiance is a pornography addict and he has to make a real effort when we are out to not look at women (we live in a beach town, which makes that even harder). He has a hard time explaining to me what it is that happens in his head when that happens. Your description really helped me to understand what was going on, and that makes it easier for me to not take it personally. Thank you so much for your experience, strength and hope :)

Became addicted to soft porn my the second half my tour in Vietnam. My roommates left it lying around and it was not long before I, away from wife and children, was hooked. I have stayed away from sexual relations with other than my wife. However, mo wife does not desire sex with me since I had my prostate removed due to cancer. I have ED problems now and nothing really works. I am unable to have an errection without strong simultaneous physical and mental stimulation. What little sexual desire my wife had for me when I was quite potent has disappeard. I do not have the physical and intimate contact that I deeply desire.
Treatments
- Support from Friends & Family Somewhat Helpful
- I have a lot of help from to Lord to stay away from soft porn. Without Him I would give in in a heartbeat. I am a true addict who is in recovery. I am helped by an accountability partner and I dont have a good one right now. I have had three and they all fall by the wayside thinking that I dont need the help. Growing older has done little good. I still have deep desire.
Close Impotence & Erectile Dysfunction
I had my prostate removed because of cancer. They damaged the nerves when removing the prostate and now I am mostly impotent and also have problems with incontinence.
