Special Education administrator in northwestern BC, Canada. Happily married with no kids, but great dogs! In June 2008 my husband suffered a pons/brain stem stroke. 3 hospitals in 8 days. Medevacs and specialists and he walked up the stairs back into the house by mid July 2008. It's not perfect, but all the medical folks were speechless. To quote the doctor "We don't know how he can do so much with all that damage." We are blessed beyond words. I am looking for a community to discuss what we are dealing with. Blessings to all.
