I am 20 years old and just got diagnosed with Discoid Lupus. I'm starting to lose my hair in little patches here and there. also have the butterfly or malar rash across my face. i hate it. i found a sucessful way to cover it up. i'm currently on prednisone and an antimalaria drug. neither have really helped much. i make sure i stay out of the sun and i use sunblock all the time. what am i doing wrong?

Hugs, just cuz I can understand what you are going through 1st hand, it sucks. I had nice skin until about 4 years ago and love the beach. With me though, I think stress has been more responsible for my rash breakouts. Unfortunatley with Discoid Lupus, they can last for many months...that's when the scars set in. Hope they find an end to this thing. : )
