Close Self-Injury
I have been cutting since I was 12 and I am heading on 22. It is hard to explain why I started or what triggered it. I had never heard of cutting before I started injuring and was shocked that other people do it too when I read about it months later.
Treatments
- Prayer Somewhat Helpful
- God has been a HUGE factor in my healing process.
- Lexapro Not Working
- It spurred anxiety attacks and I completely lost my appetite (and a good 20 lbs in 2 weeks....not a normal reaction). Getting off of it was even worse.
- Prozac Somewhat Helpful
- It helped a bit at first, but then it just kind of stopped.
- Psychotherapy Not Working
- I just got better at hiding things.
- Writing Somewhat Helpful

- It is really helpful. It has really helped reduce allergy induced fluid retention in my ears which means less ear infections (yay!)

- Makes my heart race more than an epipen.
