    • About Me

I'm a Work at Home Mom of two; Nathaniel, 4 and Jordan Danielle, 3. I was diagnosed with SLE in 2005 after the premature birth of my daughter. My doc later added FM to the mix. On top of multiple food allergies (most grains, milk, all legumes, and eggs) it makes for a challenging day. My husband and my sister are my touch stones. I lean on God, because He is my hope.

      From Meekacat August 9, 2008

I watch my 21 month old grandson for my daughter while she works. The only way I can do it is he takes a 3 hour nap in the afternoon and so do I. Plus I get to sleep in late in the am, because she doesn't go to work until 1:00PM and gets off at 8:00 or 9:00PM. I understand your energy issue. Hang in there sweetie.xxxx

    • Prayer

      From patgray July 31, 2008

Heavenly Father, I come to you now asking for your blessings on Your child. We know Lord that all things are possible in Your name. And I ask right now in the Name of Jesus that you touch Tracei, Heal her in a way that only You can. Wrap your arms around her and comfort her. When she feels lost Lord pull her closer and wrap Your loving arms of protection around her. Give her strength...knowledge...and the will to continue day by day. We thank you Lord for keeping us close to one another and I pray right now that it is Your will for us to be here for each other a lil while longer. All these things I ask in Your name....Amen

      Type of allergy: Other Foods

I finally went to an allergist 3 years ago. I got the torture test. He said he'd never seen anyone react in ALL the categories! Trees, Grasses, Molds, Animals, Bugs, Milk, Egg-whites, Soy, All Legumes, most grains- including Rice, Yeast, Coffee, and Tea! At least I can still eat potatoes. He was the first doc to think my immune system may be out of whack. I've been suffering for years. I'm finally beginning to get some relief. Knowing helps.

      Treatments

      Allergy Shots Not Working
When they began the theraputic dose I had a horrible reaction that made my throat swell up. We decided to stop and wait for the Lupus to get under control before trying again.
Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
It's a major pain and I must be hyper-vigilant but it is the only thing that works for sure.
